The Columbia Brewery has tours in the summer, and is one of the last private breweries within Canada. Columbia Brewery is the producer of Kokanee beer. Be sure to get your picture taken with the sasquatch or check out their Beer Gear store.

You could also visit the Kootenay Candle Factory. View a wide variety of specialty, hand dipped candles, made from pure beeswax. Browse through their gift shop and pick up souvenirs for friends, family, and yourself. During the summer months they offer daily tours.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery and recreation opportunities of Kootenay Lake. Take advantage of the world's longest free ferry ride (approx. 45 min.) to Balfour. Looking for a great fishing spot? Fish in Kootenay and Duck Lakes for trout, bass, perch, whitefish, dolly, varden, ling sturgeon, and sun fish. If you like, we can recommend charter boats for fishing or touring. While on the East Shore you can't afford to miss the Glass House in Boswell. That's right, a house made of over 500,000 bottles along with beautiful landscaping and gardens, a saddlery and gift shop. You have to see it to believe it!

Take a walk down Creston's Canyon st. "mainstreet" and visit one of the many unique shops there. Or take a trip out to the Mall for one stop shopping. Explore the side streets for hidden treasures or one of the valleys many fruit stands and vendors.

Hike or bike any of the many trails. Once you reach that breath taking view, break out that picnic basket and enjoy!

Tour through Creston's unique "Stone House Museum" You won't be disappointed with what has be named one of the best small museums in Canada.

Creston is also home to a 1700 acre wildlife management area. The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area is home to over 250 species of birds as well as many mammals and other marine life. A must see while in the Valley!
